Boilermaker Welder

About the role

RCR Mining Technologies is looking for experienced Boilermaker Welders to join its Welshpool Workshop in Perth, starting immediately. The work supports the construction, repair and maintenance of mining technologies, and requires excellent welding and fabrication skills and a good understanding of boiler-making techniques. Day and afternoon shifts are available, with casual and full-time positions offered.

Key responsibilities

• Fabricate and weld structural steel, mechanical equipment and piping packages efficiently, to Australian Standards and client specifications
• Prepare all steel work for welding to best practice
• Operate and maintain workshop equipment within your skill set
• Review drawings, instructions, blueprints or samples to ensure accurate production
• Maintain inventory of completed products
• Keep machines and equipment clean and tidy, with nothing left loose
• Carry out other tasks as directed that fall within your skill and competence

Required profile

• Relevant experience that passes a 3G/4G weld test
• Live locally in the Perth metropolitan area
• Willingness to complete a pre-employment medical
• Solid commitment to safety and a reliable nature

Required skills

• 3G/4G welding test passed
• Dogging and rigging (preferred but not essential)
• Forklift ticket (preferred but not essential)
