BMS Service Technician

About the role

Johnson Controls is seeking an experienced BMS Service Technician to join its South Australian team, supporting defence, commercial and industrial sites. This full‑time field position offers technical challenges, autonomy and career progression.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and fault‑finding on Building Management Systems (BMS).
• Service and troubleshoot HVAC controls, lighting controls and energy management systems.
• Diagnose and repair BMS hardware, software and communication issues.
• Work with complex IT and IP‑based control networks.
• Prepare quotations and implement system upgrades, enhancements and modifications.
• Provide technical advice and support to customers and facility managers.
• Complete service documentation and maintain accurate records.
• Collaborate with technical support teams and project stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven experience in BMS, HVAC controls, building automation or related service environments.
• Relevant qualifications in HVAC, Electrical, Controls, Automation or Building Services.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts, IP communications, switches and system integration.
• Current driver’s licence and eligibility for Defence Security Clearance (Baseline minimum).
