It is a social visitor position within the Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme, which links older people with volunteers in their local community.

Key responsibilities

• Call the numbers during bingo games
• Assist players and keep the atmosphere upbeat
• Help residents enjoy one of their favourite pastimes
• Provide regular visits to the clients you are matched with, improving their quality of life and reducing isolation

Required profile

• 18 years or older
• NDIS Worker Screening Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare
• Commitment of 1-2 hours per visit for a minimum of 6 months
• Availability during the week, 10:30-11:30 or 1-4pm, Monday to Friday

Interested applicants are contacted by phone or text, and if that is not possible, by email; check your spam or junk folder. More information on volunteering is available on the HammondCare website.
