BIM / Digital Engineering Lead

About the role

A well-established building services consultancy with a strong Brisbane team is looking for a senior BIM / Digital Engineering Lead. Digital engineering is already a service the firm sells, and it has acted as lead BIM consultant on some major projects; now it wants someone to run BIM internally and take that side of the business further. The role is client-facing, with the chance to build a digital engineering stream that wins work in its own right.

Key responsibilities

• Manage BIM across the office: standards, processes and the people doing the modelling
• Deliver projects and keep multidisciplinary models coordinated and on track
• Advise clients and project teams on how to get real value from digital engineering
• Help develop the digital engineering offer and support the business in winning work with it

Required profile

• Experience leading BIM on projects, not just modelling on them
• Design-management judgement: understanding how design gets delivered and the ability to guide a project team
• Confidence dealing directly with clients and external teams
• Consulting background preferred; contractors with VDC or digital engineering experience who advise on design and deal with clients are also welcome
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or another formal qualification in a related field highly regarded

Required skills

• Solid hands-on modelling foundation, ideally Revit in a building services environment
• Revit modelling

The salary range is $150k-$200k, depending on experience. The position is permanent and full-time in Brisbane. Applications are made through the recruiter by clicking the Apply button, calling or texting the recruiter, or emailing her directly.
