Banking Consultant – Retail Banking (2-year Fixed Term)

About the role

The Banking Consultant role in ANZ’s Retail Banking division supports customers through a seamless branch experience, addressing their full range of financial needs and guiding them toward appropriate digital and product solutions. You will work primarily in the Gungahlin branch, delivering high‑quality service that turns customers into advocates for ANZ.

Key responsibilities

• Provide customers with a seamless branch experience by handling transactions, conducting needs‑based conversations and promoting digital banking solutions.
• Act as a role model and peer coach within a collaborative team to deliver the best possible customer experience.
• Drive increased customer engagement and advocacy, creating real value for clients.
• Participate in and support bank programs and initiatives.
• Conduct “know your customer” activities from a risk perspective.
• Ensure compliance with ANZ and branch policies and procedures.

Required profile

• Strong customer focus, preferably with retail banking experience.
• Ability to use and promote digital channels and technology.
• Excellent multitasking abilities and capacity to handle multiple customer interactions.
• Good communication skills and a commitment to delivering on ANZ’s Customer Promises.
• Accreditation level appropriate for product fulfilment as required by the role.
