Banking Consultant – Personal Banker (Part‑time)

About the role

As a Banking Consultant at ANZ, you will be the friendly face of the branch, helping customers with everyday banking needs and guiding them through simple and life‑changing financial decisions. The role is part‑time (15 hours per week) and based in the New Lynn branch, offering a people‑first environment where learning and collaboration are encouraged.

Key responsibilities

• Provide seamless, end‑to‑end branch service for transactions, needs‑based conversations and digital education.
• Act as a peer coach and role model within a collaborative team to deliver excellent customer experiences.
• Drive customer engagement and advocacy, creating real value for clients.
• Participate in bank programmes and initiatives, supporting community‑focused goals.
• Maintain a strong ‘know your customer’ approach from a risk perspective.
• Ensure compliance with ANZ and branch policies and procedures.

Required profile

• Strong customer focus; retail experience is a plus.
• Comfortable using and promoting digital banking channels.
• Ability to multitask and adapt to change and ambiguity.
• Willingness to work collaboratively and support colleagues.
