Backend Software Engineer (Elixir)

About the role

Yojee is looking for a Backend Software Engineer to help build real‑time freight and logistics solutions. You will work on distributed, event‑driven systems using Elixir and Phoenix, collaborating closely with product, design and engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop distributed, event‑driven architectures.
• Implement real‑time freight and logistics workflows.
• Handle data orchestration and reliability engineering.
• Maintain production systems, deployments and CI/CD pipelines.
• Apply AI‑enabled engineering practices using coding agents and agentic tooling.
• For full‑stack candidates: build React/TypeScript interfaces and deliver end‑to‑end features.

Required profile

• 4–6 years of experience building production‑grade backend systems.
• Strong experience with Elixir and Phoenix (preferred).
• Background in distributed or event‑driven systems.
• Solid understanding of databases and infrastructure (PostgreSQL, AWS, Docker, CI/CD).
• Practical use of AI‑assisted engineering tools.
• Effective communicator who collaborates well and values quality software.
