Back End Integration Developer – GIS & SAP (Hybrid, 12‑mo Contract)

About the role

We are seeking a Back End Integration Developer to join a leading consultancy supporting a major mining client in Perth. The role focuses on connecting a new GIS platform with existing SAP systems and mobile applications using Microsoft Azure. This is a hybrid position requiring three days per week on‑site and offers a 12‑month contract with a high likelihood of extension.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain integration solutions on Microsoft Azure.
• Build and manage scalable, secure APIs and event‑driven workflows for mobile apps, backend systems and enterprise platforms such as SAP.
• Create and optimise batch and streaming data pipelines in the cloud.
• Collaborate with developers, architects and DevOps teams to deliver end‑to‑end integration services.
• Ensure data exchange complies with security and governance standards.
• Monitor, troubleshoot and continuously improve production integrations.

Required profile

• Proven ability to code with React and .Net.
• Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure services, especially API Management, Logic Apps and Function Apps.
• Background in API development, event‑driven architectures and secure data exchange.
• Experience integrating enterprise systems such as SAP, preferably in a mining or GIS context.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipeline implementation.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
