Azure DevOps Engineer – 6‑Month Contract in Melbourne

About the role

We are seeking an Azure DevOps Engineer to join our team in Melbourne on a 6‑month fixed‑term contract. You will design and implement automated, resilient infrastructure and delivery pipelines on the Azure platform.

Key responsibilities

• Develop infrastructure‑as‑code recovery solutions using YAML and Bicep to rebuild full environments in under 30 minutes.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps with YAML to automate builds, tests and deployments, cutting release time from hours to minutes.
• Automate Application Gateway rule generation for multi‑tenant systems, enabling dynamic routing for client domains.
• Implement cost‑optimisation measures such as autoscaling, Reserved Instances and regular usage audits, achieving ~30% reduction in Azure spend.
• Troubleshoot and resolve Azure SNAT port exhaustion by applying VNet integration, private DNS and dedicated IP configurations.
• Create monitoring dashboards and use Azure Application Insights to track request volume, performance and demand patterns.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering Azure DevOps solutions at scale.
• Strong background in infrastructure‑as‑code and automated recovery processes.
• Demonstrated ability to optimise cloud costs and improve system reliability.
