AWS DevOps Engineer

About the role

The Senior DevOps Engineer will own the design, implementation and operation of our hybrid‑cloud infrastructure, with a strong focus on Amazon EKS and related automation. You will partner with development teams to ensure reliable, secure, and cost‑effective services.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy and maintain highly available EKS clusters, including node pool management, upgrades, disaster recovery and security hardening (RBAC, network policies, pod security).
• Build and optimise CI/CD pipelines using Bitbucket, Jenkins and Ansible, and implement deployment strategies such as blue‑green, canary and rolling updates.
• Develop automation scripts and tools in Python, Bash or Go to streamline provisioning, configuration and operational tasks.
• Implement observability solutions – monitoring, alerting and logging – to provide real‑time visibility of system health.
• Analyse capacity and cost metrics to continuously optimise AWS resource utilisation.

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on experience with Kubernetes (EKS) and container orchestration.
• Deep knowledge of AWS services and best‑practice security/compliance.
• Proven ability to work in an on‑call rotation and respond to incidents.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts in cloud environments.
