AWS DevOps Engineer – Hybrid (Sydney/Melbourne)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced AWS DevOps Engineer to join a high‑performing product technology team in Australia. The role is hands‑on and involves close collaboration with software engineering, platform, security and operations teams to deliver secure, reliable and highly automated cloud solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain secure, scalable AWS environments using Terraform and/or CloudFormation.
• Support cloud‑native architectures on ECS, EKS, Lambda and other serverless services.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins or AWS CodePipeline.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, deployments, monitoring and operational processes.
• Deploy and manage containerised applications with Docker and Kubernetes (EKS).
• Implement monitoring, logging and observability using CloudWatch, Datadog, Dynatrace, Splunk or Grafana.
• Provide on‑call support, troubleshoot incidents and perform root‑cause analysis.
• Enforce security controls, IAM, secrets management and compliance across AWS environments.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an AWS DevOps Engineer or similar role.
• Hands‑on expertise with Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD automation and cloud optimisation.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams.
• Eligibility to work in Australia (PR or citizen required).
