AWS DevOps Engineer (Contract)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer with strong AWS and Windows Server expertise to support our client’s cloud infrastructure in Melbourne on a contract basis.

Key responsibilities

• Administer Windows Server (2016+) environments, including patching, service management and IIS configuration.
• Perform SQL Server (2016+) administration: create/restore databases, run jobs, write T‑SQL queries and troubleshoot issues.
• Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts and basic Windows batch scripts for automation.
• Design, build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Octopus Deploy and GitHub Actions.
• Manage source code versioning and branching in TFS and GitHub.
• Support .NET applications hosted on IIS and ensure basic networking concepts are applied.
• Collaborate with the team to troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure incidents.

Required profile

• 6–12 years of hands‑on experience in Windows Server and cloud DevOps environments.
• Proficient in PowerShell scripting and Windows batch scripting.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server administration and T‑SQL.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Octopus Deploy, GitHub Actions) and source control systems.
• Solid understanding of AWS services and basic networking concepts.
• Available to work onsite in Melbourne; no visa sponsorship provided.
