Aviation Lecturer (Full‑time, Permanent)

About the role

UHI Perth is seeking a permanent, full‑time Aviation Lecturer to support its Engineering programmes. The role combines on‑campus teaching, online delivery, and occasional short‑term teaching trips to China as part of the university’s international portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver lectures, labs and workshops for SCQF levels 7‑10.
• Create and manage online learning materials and assessments.
• Supervise student projects and provide practical aviation engineering instruction.
• Participate in research, consultancy and continuous programme development.
• Travel to China for up to two weeks at a time to teach on‑site.

Required profile

• Minimum Master’s degree in an engineering‑related discipline, preferably with an aviation focus.
• Relevant industry experience in aviation engineering; knowledge of the Part 66 syllabus is highly advantageous.
• Previous teaching experience at higher education level is desirable.
• Self‑motivated, proactive, strong communicator and effective team player.
• Commitment to student learning and up‑to‑date understanding of industry requirements.
