Automotive Teacher - TAFE Queensland

About the role

TAFE Queensland's Bracken Ridge Campus is recruiting a permanent full-time Automotive Teacher to join its Automotive Training team. The teacher shares industry knowledge with students in classrooms, online and in the workplace, helping students from diverse backgrounds develop the skills they need for work and their future. The position reports to the Business Manager.

Required profile

• Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology (AUR30620) or Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology (AUR31120), or equivalent.
• Current industry skills relevant to the training and assessment, and current knowledge of vocational training and learning.
• Evidence of professional development in vocational training, learning and assessment, including competency-based training and assessment.
• A qualification in adult education (primarily TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, or equivalent), or willingness to obtain one.
• No teaching experience required: candidates are supported through coaching, mentoring and the Foundation Educator program.
