Automotive Glazing Apprenticeship – Technician

About the role

This is a two‑year Automotive Glazing Apprenticeship leading to a Certificate III in Automotive Glazing. You will progress from Level 1 to Level 5, gaining hands‑on experience in chip repair, windscreen and sunroof replacement, and sensor recalibration while receiving full support from technical trainers and branch managers.

Key responsibilities

• Perform chip repairs and replace windscreens and sunroofs on all vehicle types.
• Recalibrate windscreen sensors such as auto‑stop and rain sensors.
• Communicate clearly with customers and maintain accurate documentation of transactions.
• Assist the Branch Manager with health, safety and wellbeing compliance.
• Drive both manual and automatic vehicles for on‑site and on‑road tasks (approximately 48% on the road).
• Follow roster schedules (Tue‑Sat or Mon‑Fri) and be flexible for overtime and occasional Saturdays.

Required profile

• School Certificate and a valid driver’s licence (minimum P’s) with ability to drive manual and automatic vehicles.
• Reliable, willing to learn and able to commit 100% effort each day.
• Australian citizen or permanent resident.
• Pass a full medical, urine drug and alcohol test and be able to lift up to 22 kg.
