Audit Manager

About the role

RSM Australia is seeking an Audit Manager to lead audit engagements for a diverse client portfolio at our Adelaide office. You will ensure high‑quality audit delivery in line with professional standards and regulatory requirements, acting as the primary liaison for clients and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and resolve technical accounting and audit issues.
• Review audit workpapers and financial statements for compliance with Australian Accounting Standards.
• Summarise engagement findings for partners and ensure assignments are completed on time and within budget.
• Negotiate fees with partners and manage profitability of each client.
• Present audit results to staff and clients, and support business development activities.
• Mentor and train audit team members, monitor staffing needs, and ensure methodology compliance.

Required profile

• 5‑7 years of audit experience.
• Strong communication, attention to detail, and prioritisation skills.
• Proven problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.
• In‑depth knowledge of the Corporations Act and Australian Accounting and Auditing Standards.
