Audit Associate / Senior Associate – Financial Services

About the role

EY is recruiting Audit Associates and Senior Associates to join its Financial Services Audit teams in Melbourne and Sydney. You will help clients meet reporting requirements, provide insights on accounting matters, and develop your audit expertise in a supportive, globally‑connected environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage audit processes, addressing audit risk, revenue, financial instruments and income tax matters.
• Engage clients, advise on transactions and identify opportunities to improve business processes.
• Stay informed on market trends and share knowledge with junior colleagues.
• Coach and mentor junior team members while keeping engagement leaders updated.
• Understand client ambitions and refer them to other EY teams to broaden relationships.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering external audit and assurance engagements for financial services clients.
• Experience leading audit planning, execution and reporting.
• Track record of building and maintaining client relationships.
• Strong communication, negotiation and collaborative skills.
• University degree and progress toward or completion of CPA/CA ANZ (or equivalent).
