Audit Accountant – Sydney

About the role

Join Nexia Sydney’s Audit & Assurance team as an Accountant and work on a diverse portfolio of audit engagements. You will apply Nexia’s audit methodology, liaise with clients, and provide constructive advice while developing your technical and leadership skills.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct audit assignments in line with the Nexia Audit Approach.
• Proactively communicate with clients and deliver constructive recommendations.
• Plan, supervise and finalise audit engagements based on experience.
• Utilise data‑analytics tools and project‑management systems to enhance audit efficiency.

Required profile

• External auditing experience within an accountancy firm.
• Working towards or holding an accountancy qualification (CA preferred).
• Strong understanding of Australian corporate reporting requirements (Accounting Standards, Corporations Act, UIG).
• Professional appearance and excellent client‑facing communication.
• Effective time‑management and ability to maximise personal productivity.
