Associate Engineer – IV & Construction Services

About the role

SMEC is seeking an Associate Engineer – IV to provide technical leadership and construction‑phase expertise on major infrastructure projects. You will work closely with clients, contractors and multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, efficient delivery that meets contractual, technical and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of construction‑phase engineering services across large‑scale infrastructure projects.
• Ensure all technical outputs comply with client requirements, contractual obligations and SMEC quality standards.
• Collaborate with contractors, clients and project teams to resolve design and construction issues.
• Provide contract administration, stakeholder management and project delivery support throughout the construction lifecycle.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the development of the project team.
• Strengthen client relationships and drive performance across the project portfolio.

Required profile

• Qualified civil engineer with several years of experience in construction‑phase engineering.
• Proven ability to lead technical teams and manage complex contracts.
• Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Experience mentoring junior staff and fostering client relationships.
