Associate Director, Strategy & Value Creation

About the role

KPMG is seeking an Associate Director to lead its Strategy & Value Creation practice in Melbourne. You will work with clients across the deal lifecycle, from growth strategy and commercial due diligence to post‑deal transformation, helping them unlock untapped EBITDA potential.

Key responsibilities

• Lead cross‑functional teams to identify, quantify and implement value creation opportunities.
• Own client relationships, acting as the primary contact for senior stakeholders and ensuring delivery quality.
• Develop and present strategic recommendations, transformation road‑maps and synergy assessments.
• Drive business development activities, including proposal writing and thought‑leadership initiatives.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies such as AI that impact client value.
• Coach and develop junior team members to foster a high‑performance culture.

Required profile

• Proven track record leading strategy and value creation programmes for large enterprises in Australia or internationally.
• Strong experience in commercial and operational due diligence, growth strategy, and post‑deal integration.
• Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships with senior executives.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills, with confidence presenting to C‑suite audiences.
