Assistant Restaurant Manager – Mackay

About the role

Join the KFC Mackay team as an Assistant Restaurant Manager and lead a high‑energy crew to deliver the iconic Finger Lickin’ Good experience. You will support the Restaurant Manager in day‑to‑day operations, ensuring food quality, safety, and exceptional customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in managing a team that consistently delivers high‑quality service and handles guest feedback professionally.
• Maintain food safety, hygiene, and quality standards across all shifts.
• Support training, onboarding, and coaching initiatives to develop a high‑performing crew.
• Help with roster creation, compliance monitoring, and accurate record‑keeping.
• Promote new promotions, keep the team informed, and sustain a motivated work environment.

Required profile

• Solid background in hospitality or restaurant management.
• Strong people‑first leadership style with excellent communication skills.
• Hands‑on, “get‑your‑hands‑dirty” attitude and ability to thrive under pressure.
• Experience in hiring, training, and managing teams is preferred.

Required skills

• Familiarity with restaurant operating systems and tools.
• Basic financial understanding, including P&L and payroll concepts.
