About the role
The Assistant Principal will support the Principal in providing educational leadership, managing school operations, and overseeing administration at Claremont College, a senior secondary school for Years 11 and 12.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the Principal with day‑to‑day leadership and strategic planning.
- Manage staff performance, professional development, and student welfare initiatives.
- Oversee curriculum delivery, assessment processes, and compliance with education standards.
- Coordinate school resources, budgeting, and facilities management.
- Engage with parents, community partners, and external agencies as required.
Required profile
- Full registration as a teacher under the Teachers Registration Act 2000.
- Qualifications meeting the Tasmanian Industrial Commission Teaching Service Award 2005.
- Current Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (RWVP) with Employment status.
- Desirable: Four or more years of teaching experience as defined in the award.
