Assistant Merchandise Manager (Tools)

About the role

Genuine Parts Company, the global leader in automotive parts and accessories, is hiring an Assistant Merchandise Manager (Tools) for its GPC Asia Pacific business, which has over 400 stores across Australasia. Reporting to the Merchandise Manager, the role coordinates promotional and catalogue activity, working closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders so that catalogues are delivered accurately, promotional deadlines are met and product information stays up to date. It is a highly collaborative role requiring attention to detail and strong organisational skills.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate catalogue and promotional activity from planning through to execution
• Review and proof catalogue content for accuracy of pricing, product information and promotional offers
• Liaise with suppliers to obtain product information, imagery and promotional support, and build strong supplier relationships
• Ensure critical catalogue and campaign deadlines are met
• Assist with promotional planning and campaign administration
• Analyse sales and promotional performance data and prepare reports and presentations for category decisions
• Maintain accurate product and promotional information across systems
• Provide administrative and operational support to the Merchandise team

Required profile

• Experience in merchandising, category administration, buying support or a similar role, or a strong interest in building a career in this area
• Strong communication skills and ability to build stakeholder relationships
• Proactive, solutions-focused approach and ability to prioritise competing deadlines
