Assistant Manager – Tasmania Pub

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Assistant Manager to help keep our Tasmania pub vibrant and welcoming for the local community. You will support the Publican in daily operations, ensuring a safe, energetic, and enjoyable atmosphere for guests.

Key responsibilities

• Build strong relationships with regular patrons, making them feel part of the team.
• Assist the Publican in maintaining smooth, safe, and upbeat pub operations.
• Lead a team of hospitality staff, fostering a collaborative and high‑service environment.
• Identify and resolve issues before they become problems.
• Deliver consistent energy, service excellence, and a friendly smile on every shift.
• Perform manual handling tasks such as moving stock, kegs, and deliveries safely.

Required profile

• Experience working in a bar, bistro, or gaming venue, with some supervisory exposure.
• Learned from strong managers and ready to step up to a leadership role.
• Confident, personable, and able to represent the pub when the manager is away.
• Current RSA and RSG/RCG certifications as required by state legislation.
