Assistant Manager – Holiday Park Operations

About the role

Join Discovery Parks Narooma as an Assistant Manager and help shape the future of one of the South Coast’s most exciting holiday parks. Reporting to the Park Manager, you will support daily operations across reception, guest services and park facilities while leading a team of 16 staff members.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day park operations, ensuring smooth reception, guest services and overall park functionality.
• Oversee guest check‑ins, reservations, account management and after‑hours enquiries.
• Assist with budgeting, cost control and revenue performance analysis.
• Support and develop a high‑performing team through coaching, mentoring and leading by example.
• Contribute to marketing initiatives to attract new guests.
• Step into the Park Manager role when required.
• Perform physical tasks such as heavy lifting (up to 20 kg), kneeling, squatting and handling chemicals or machinery.

Required profile

• Hands‑on leader who enjoys working with people and creating memorable guest experiences.
• Experience in hospitality, accommodation, tourism management or a similar field.
• Strong leadership with a focus on coaching and development.
• Financial and commercial awareness.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer‑centric approach.
• Flexibility to work weekends and after‑hours shifts.

Required skills

• RMS (Reservation Management System) experience or similar reservations software.
