About the role

Join Novotel Sydney Darling Square as an Assistant Manager – Food & Beverage, supporting the Director of Culinary in overseeing daily operations across the hotel, conference facilities, and the iconic Pumphouse venue.

Key responsibilities

• Support daily Food & Beverage operations throughout the hotel and Pumphouse.
• Assist with cost control through rostering, stock management, ordering, inventory, and waste minimisation.
• Coach, mentor and develop team members to deliver outstanding guest experiences.
• Maintain brand, service, and presentation standards consistently.
• Uphold high food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety standards.
• Collaborate with all departments to ensure seamless service delivery.

Required profile

• Previous leadership or supervisory experience in hotel Food & Beverage operations.
• Passion for exceptional customer service and memorable guest experiences.
• Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
• Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
• Positive, proactive attitude and genuine passion for hospitality.

Required skills

• Sound knowledge of food safety, liquor licensing and workplace health and safety requirements.
