Assistant Manager – External Audit (Brisbane)

About the role

KPMG is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead external audit engagements for high‑profile clients in Brisbane. You will be responsible for delivering high‑quality audit and assurance services while supporting business development and advisory work.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage audit engagements for large, high‑profile clients.
• Oversee all aspects of audit delivery, client service and business development.
• Execute advisory‑related engagements as required.
• Provide inspirational leadership to develop junior talent.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with prestigious audit clients.
• Ensure quality assurance and accurate reporting throughout the audit process.

Required profile

• Proven track record of high performance and success in audit or related fields.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS standards.
• Exceptional problem‑solving and analytical abilities.
• Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated team‑leadership capabilities.
• Relevant tertiary qualification (CA, CPA or ability to obtain).
