Assistant Manager – Emerging Corporate (Perth)

About the role

ANZ is looking for an Assistant Manager to join its Emerging Corporate team in Perth. Working closely with a Senior Relationship Credit Manager, you will support a portfolio of mid‑market trading businesses across Western Australia, helping them secure the financing they need while delivering a high‑quality customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Senior Relationship Credit Manager in preparing credit papers, financial monitoring reports and loan documentation.
• Structure and analyse deals, conduct financial statement analysis and assess credit risk.
• Develop a deep understanding of each client’s business and financial requirements.
• Provide solutions for account maintenance and respond to customer requests promptly.
• Maintain a well‑managed portfolio that complies with all relevant policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Previous experience in commercial banking frontline roles, commercial lending, accountancy, insolvency, corporate advisory or funds management.
• Strong ability to evaluate a customer’s creditworthiness using both qualitative and quantitative factors.
• Familiarity with complex lending structures and risk‑management concepts, especially credit risk.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for internal stakeholder management and direct customer interaction.
• Good time‑management skills with the ability to prioritise multiple requests.
