About the role
BDO is seeking an Assistant Manager to join its growing Audit team in Perth. You will work on a diverse portfolio of clients across multiple industries, gaining exposure to complex engagements while developing your leadership capabilities.
Key responsibilities
- Support the management and development of the audit team to ensure successful completion of engagements.
- Identify audit and engagement risks and develop appropriate audit approaches.
- Review working papers, audit queries, correspondence and reports for compliance with audit plans and quality standards.
- Lead and participate in technical audit and accounting matters, escalating issues when necessary.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring clear communication throughout the audit process.
Required profile
- Relevant tertiary qualification.
- 4+ years of external audit experience in a professional services firm.
- CA/CPA qualification (or working towards).
- Experience mentoring junior team members.
- Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving abilities.
