Assistant Manager - Alex Heads Hotel

About the role

The Alex Heads Hotel is looking for a driven Assistant Manager to run the floor at one of the Sunshine Coast's most scenic, high-tempo beachside venues. The hotel does not use an isolated Duty Manager model: several Assistant Managers share the workload, collaborate on floor strategy and drive standards together. The role suits someone who enjoys fast-paced hospitality and works well in a team.

Key responsibilities

• Work alongside a team of Assistant Managers to share shift load and support each other
• Support the Publican to keep the pub running smoothly, safely and with a great vibe
• Lead a team of hospitality staff and help learn the role of Publican
• Handle issues quickly so they do not become bigger problems
• Deliver the energy, service and smiles every shift, whether managing weekend dining, game-day trade in the sports bar or gaming operations

Required profile

• Experience working in a bar, bistro or gaming room, with some supervising already behind the scenes
• Confidence, pride and people skills to represent the pub when the boss is away
• Ability to handle stock, kegs and deliveries safely and efficiently
• Current RSA/RSG, RMLV and Approved Managers Licence as per state requirements
