Assistant Financial Accountant

About the role

We are seeking an Assistant Financial Accountant to join our corporate head‑office finance team. Reporting to a Finance Manager who values mentorship, you will work in a supportive environment with full study assistance for CA/CPA qualifications.

Key responsibilities

• Process accounts payable and receivable transactions.
• Prepare financial statements and tax returns.
• Assist with project budgeting and forecasting.
• Perform reconciliations and support month‑end close activities.
• Contribute to board reporting and other ad‑hoc finance tasks.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 months accounting experience in a commercial firm, Big 4 or accounting practice.
• Qualified accounting degree with solid academic results (credit average).
• Desire to work in a corporate head‑office setting and build a long‑term accounting career.
• Permanent residency or Australian citizenship.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
