Assistant Centre Director - Maternity Leave Cover

About the role

Busy Bees, a global early learning provider with over 130 centres in Australia, is seeking a hands-on Assistant Centre Director for its modern, purpose-built 120-place centre in Bellmere, Queensland. The role is full-time and covers maternity leave until July 2027. It suits a flexible, supportive leader who enjoys coaching and mentoring educators on the floor, covering breaks and stepping into rooms as needed.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Centre Director in the day-to-day leadership and operations of the service.
• Lead, mentor and inspire educators to deliver high-quality education and care.
• Build strong partnerships with families and the local community.
• Support compliance with the National Quality Framework (NQF) and National Regulations.
• Contribute to curriculum planning, reflective practice and continuous improvement.
• Step into the Centre Director role when required.

Required profile

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or higher).
• Current Working with Children Check for Queensland.
• Sound knowledge of the EYLF, NQS and Child Protection legislation.
• Leadership experience or a strong desire to grow into a leadership role within the ECEC industry.
• Flexibility and a team-first approach, including a rotating roster and working in rooms wherever needed.
