Assistant Centre Director

About the role

Busy Bees, a global early learning provider with over 130 centres in Australia, is seeking an experienced and supportive Assistant Centre Director for its 91-place, four-room centre in Colac. The position is full-time and permanent, supporting the Centre Director with day-to-day leadership and operations.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Centre Director with the day-to-day leadership and operations of the service.
• Lead, mentor and support educators to deliver high-quality education and care.
• Help maintain compliance with the NQF and National Regulations.
• Support curriculum planning, reflective practice and continuous improvement.
• Build strong relationships with families and the local community.
• Step into the Centre Director role when required.

Required profile

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or higher.
• Current Victorian Working with Children Check.
• Genuine commitment to child safety and alignment with Busy Bees values.
• Sound understanding of the EYLF, NQS, Child Protection and ECEC compliance requirements.
• Understanding of ratios, daily operations and what it takes to run a successful service.
• Leadership experience, or a strong desire to take the next step in an ECEC career.
• A positive, collaborative and supportive leadership style.
