Assistant Brand & Activation Manager

About the role

Diageo's Marketing team is looking for an Assistant Brand & Activation Manager in Sydney. The role supports the development and execution of brand plans and activation programs that drive brand growth, consumer engagement and commercial performance. You will work closely with Brand and Activation Managers, Retail Activation, Sales, Finance, Insights and agency partners.

Key responsibilities

• Brand management support: help develop annual brand plans and campaign strategies, support brand assets and guidelines, coordinate packaging updates, creative development and campaign approvals, monitor brand performance and market trends, and contribute to product launches.
• Activation support: support consumer activations, events, sponsorships and experiential programs, coordinate activation calendars and timelines, work with agencies and suppliers, adapt global campaigns for local markets and support retail and customer activations.
• Insights and performance: gather and analyse consumer, customer and market data, track campaign and activation KPIs, prepare performance reports and presentations, and identify optimisation opportunities.
• Project and stakeholder management: coordinate cross-functional project teams, manage day-to-day communication with agencies and vendors, support budget tracking and purchase orders, and ensure compliance with responsible marketing standards.

Required profile

• 1-4 years in FMCG marketing, brand management, customer marketing or activation.
• Experience supporting campaigns, events or commercial projects.
• Exposure to agency management is advantageous.
• Experience in consumer goods, beverages, retail or hospitality is often valued.
