Area Manager - Occupational Rehabilitation

About the role

Acumen Health is seeking an experienced, commercially minded Area Manager to lead its Occupational Rehabilitation teams across Perth and broader Western Australia. The role sits within the regional leadership team, overseeing Team Managers and multidisciplinary rehabilitation professionals while contributing to strategic growth and operational excellence. It balances commercial outcomes, workforce capability and clinical governance.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with customers, insurers, employers, government agencies and referral partners
• Lead, coach and develop Team Managers and rehabilitation professionals; oversee workforce planning, recruitment and capability development
• Oversee service delivery, quality, compliance and customer outcomes
• Lead continuous improvement and quality assurance activities
• Support customer retention, contract renewals, tenders and growth initiatives
• Represent Acumen Health at industry and stakeholder events
• Own regional financial performance and budget outcomes, driving revenue growth and productivity
• Align workforce capacity with referral demand and contribute to budgeting, forecasting and business planning

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in an Allied Health discipline with relevant professional registration
• Experience in workplace rehabilitation or a similar service-based healthcare environment
• Experience leading leaders and multidisciplinary allied health teams
• Demonstrated experience managing operational performance, customer relationships and business outcomes

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of Workers Compensation legislation and occupational rehabilitation frameworks
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and leadership skills
