Area Manager - Greater Sydney

About the role

IPAR is a national occupational rehabilitation provider supporting Australians living with illness, injury or disability, and is part of the MedHealth network. As Area Manager - Greater Sydney, you lead the day-to-day operations of the Greater Sydney sites (Sydney CBD, Parramatta, Penrith and surrounds), giving leadership, coaching and strategic direction so that rehabilitation outcomes, business performance and team success are strong. The role combines people leadership, operational management, business development and a clinical caseload.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of rehabilitation consultants, and drive engagement, performance and professional development across the branches
• Conduct regular supervision, performance reviews and development planning, and oversee recruitment, onboarding and training of consultants and support staff
• Oversee branch performance, including revenue, productivity and quality outcomes, and build strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders
• Identify opportunities to grow referrals and support business development initiatives
• Maintain a clinical caseload while helping consultants achieve positive return-to-work outcomes
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, contractual requirements and relevant legislation, and promote continuous improvement

Required profile

• Registration as an Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, Exercise Physiologist, Psychologist, Rehabilitation Counsellor, Social Worker or Registered Nurse
• Proven leadership and team management experience within occupational rehabilitation (essential)
• Experience in business development and client relationship management
• Ability to coach, develop and performance manage staff
• Sound understanding of workers compensation, rehabilitation and workplace health and safety legislation
• Current Australian driver's licence and access to a vehicle
