Area Manager (Field)

About the role

The Area Manager (Field) will grow Capricorn’s member and supplier relationships across a designated territory in Australia or New Zealand. You’ll spend most of your time meeting members, prospects and suppliers, while also handling administration, reporting and occasional travel.

Key responsibilities

• Develop business with existing Members and assigned Suppliers and convert new membership opportunities.
• Connect Suppliers with Members, promote Capricorn products, services and events.
• Plan and run your own weekly schedule, balancing field visits with follow‑up and reporting.
• Maintain a portfolio of roughly 350 Members, focusing on growth and regular engagement.
• Collaborate with internal teams to create solutions and negotiate opportunities.

Required profile

• Proven experience in business development, relationship management or high‑level customer service.
• Strong organisational, administrative and record‑keeping abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to build rapport with members, suppliers and internal teams.
• Commercial awareness, negotiation skills and a practical problem‑solving approach.
• Experience in the automotive, industrial or manufacturing sectors is highly regarded.
