Architect / Designer – Melbourne Studio

About the role

Weston Williamson + Partners is seeking a talented Architect / Designer to join its Melbourne studio from July 2026. You will work closely with project leads, senior management and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high‑quality design and technical solutions for transport, infrastructure, aviation and urban development projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and coordinate technical packages for project delivery.
• Collaborate with internal teams, clients and external consultants.
• Contribute to design and delivery of rail, infrastructure and aviation projects.
• Assist with project bids, competitions and business development initiatives.
• Support creation of innovative, context‑responsive design solutions.
• Coordinate with engineering disciplines across multiple projects.
• Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, safety standards and best‑practice procedures.
• Participate in internal initiatives such as mentoring, CPD and business growth activities.

Required profile

• Master of Architecture with registration on ARBV or eligibility via AACA pathways.
• Minimum 3+ years relevant experience, including at least 2 years post‑graduation.
• Experience on major construction projects, preferably rail, infrastructure or aviation.
• Strong design, problem‑solving and technical detailing abilities.
• Understanding of statutory, compliance and safety requirements.
• Proactive, collaborative, able to work independently and meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit.
• Strong Adobe Creative Suite skills, especially InDesign.
• Competency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
