Apprentice Boilermaker (Fabricator)

About the role

Evolution Mining is offering an entry-level four-year apprenticeship as an Apprentice Boilermaker (Fabricator) at its Mungari operations in Western Australia. You will learn your trade in a modern mining environment, reporting to the Mechanical Supervisor, and complete practical and theoretical training leading to a nationally recognised Boilermaker qualification. The position is residential to Kalgoorlie and follows a 7-day-on, 7-day-off day-shift roster.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with inspections, servicing and repairs of plant equipment
• Develop fabrication, welding and maintenance skills
• Support preventative maintenance and repair activities
• Complete assigned work and maintenance documentation
• Maintain apprenticeship logbooks and training requirements
• Attend and complete all off-site training and TAFE requirements
• Work safely in a mining and processing plant environment, identify hazards and uphold safety, housekeeping and environmental standards
• Contribute to continuous improvement and demonstrate the company's values of Safety, Excellence, Accountability and Respect

Required profile

• No mining experience required
• Successful completion of Year 10
• Interest in fabrication, welding and mechanical trades, with strong practical aptitude and willingness to learn
• Attention to detail, commitment to safety and ability to follow instructions
• Good communication and teamwork skills, reliability and initiative
• Basic computer skills and commitment to completing a four-year apprenticeship
• Advantageous but not essential: mechanical or trade experience, hand and power tool use, exposure to fabrication or welding, and a current Australian driver's licence
