APAC Financial Controller

About the role

The APAC Financial Controller will lead the financial control agenda across the Asia‑Pacific region, ensuring the integrity of reporting, balance‑sheet governance and compliance with group and local statutory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the regional month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end close process across APAC.
• Ensure accurate and timely group reporting, statutory reporting and external disclosures.
• Embed and enhance the Group Financial Controls Framework across the region.
• Oversee statutory accounting, compliance obligations and the delivery of group, statutory and tax audits.
• Provide technical accounting leadership, ensuring consistent application of IFRS, local GAAP and group accounting policies.
• Review and govern key balance‑sheet reconciliations, identifying and managing accounting and control risks.
• Partner with finance transformation and systems teams to improve automation, standardisation and reporting efficiency.
• Lead, mentor and develop the regional Financial Controller community, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Professional qualification such as CA, CPA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
• Extensive experience in financial control, statutory reporting, external audit and technical accounting within large multinational organisations.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and local GAAP across multiple jurisdictions.
• Proven experience leading regional finance or financial control teams.
• Successful partnership experience with shared services or Global Delivery Centres.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management and influencing abilities.
• Continuous‑improvement mindset with experience driving finance transformation, process standardisation and automation.
