AO5 Graphic Designer

About the role

This 12‑month temporary position supports a State Government department in delivering high‑quality visual communications across a range of programs and initiatives. You will create accurate, on‑brand design solutions, working closely with communications and digital teams to ensure all visual content aligns with brand guidelines and engages target audiences.

Key responsibilities

• Design visual assets for print and digital channels, including infographics, brochures, reports, social media graphics and web content.
• Interpret briefs and translate them into engaging, accessible visual concepts.
• Ensure all creative outputs meet brand guidelines and accessibility standards.
• Manage multiple design projects simultaneously to meet deadlines.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to refine messaging and visual execution.
• Prepare files for digital publication and print production.
• Maintain design templates and contribute to brand consistency across materials.
• Support campaign development through creative input and execution.

Required profile

• Demonstrated graphic design experience in a corporate, agency or public‑sector environment.
• Strong proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop).
• Ability to translate complex information into clear, engaging visual formats.
• High attention to detail and commitment to brand consistency.
• Excellent time‑management skills and ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Effective communication and stakeholder‑engagement abilities.
• Experience designing for both print and digital channels.
• Understanding of accessibility standards and inclusive design (desirable).
• Relevant qualifications in graphic design or visual communication (desirable).
