Android Software Engineer – AI Neobank App

About the role

Doit is building an AI‑powered neobank app and needs an Android Software Engineer to create a native, high‑performance experience for its customers. You will work remotely from anywhere in Australia, collaborating with product, design and backend teams to deliver reliable mobile features.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and ship Android features using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
• Create clean, fast user flows for insurance, payments, claims, renewals and other financial services.
• Integrate backend REST APIs, ensure stability, security and reliability of mobile flows.
• Improve app performance, crash rates, loading states, responsiveness and memory usage.
• Use analytics and production issue data to iterate on the product.
• Build AI‑assisted experiences only when they add genuine value to the user journey.

Required profile

• 3+ years of Android development experience with Kotlin.
• Strong fundamentals and a track record of shipping production apps.
• Good understanding of mobile UX, edge cases and user flows.
• Ability to debug production issues and integrate REST APIs.
• Fast execution, high ownership and attention to product quality.
