About the role

Join Qantas' new Product Innovation Centre in Adelaide as an Android Engineer, developing robust, scalable mobile solutions that deliver seamless digital experiences for our customers.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop Android applications for Qantas' travel and loyalty services.
• Collaborate with the mobile team throughout planning, development, delivery, and monitoring.
• Ensure high‑quality, secure, and performant code that meets business outcomes.
• Maintain and improve continuous integration pipelines using GitHub Actions.
• Contribute to API design and integration for mobile services.
• Write and maintain unit tests to guarantee reliability.
• Optimize build processes, dependency management, and architecture patterns.
• Participate in code reviews and enforce engineering best practices.

Required profile

• Mid‑level software developer with hands‑on Android experience.
• Strong attention to detail and a quality‑focused mindset.
• Effective communicator able to convey technical requirements to team leads.
• Ability to apply solid software engineering principles and best practices.
• Interest in improving developer productivity and tooling.
