Android Developer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Android Engineer to lead the development of customer‑facing mobile solutions. You will shape the technical strategy, collaborate with design and product teams, and deliver high‑quality apps that delight users.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain native Android applications using Kotlin.
• Define and influence the team’s technical roadmap, frameworks and methodologies.
• Partner with Design and Product to create beautiful, performant, and well‑engineered UI.
• Architect apps for scalability, performance, and ease of future development.
• Write unit and functional tests to ensure code quality and reliability.
• Investigate, debug and resolve production issues reported by users.
• Contribute ideas for new products and enhancements alongside cross‑functional teams.

Required profile

• 5+ years of commercial software development experience, with at least 2 years building native Android applications.
• Strong focus on customer experience and user‑centred design.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively in an agile environment.
• Excellent communication skills and a drive to lead technical initiatives.

Required skills

• Kotlin programming language.
• Android SDK and native Android development.
• Unit testing and functional testing frameworks.
• Debugging and performance optimisation techniques.
