Android Developer – Build AI‑Powered Neobank App

About the role

We are looking for an Android Engineer to create the native Android experience for BJAK’s AI‑driven neobank app. You will shape clean user flows, ensure fast performance, and deliver reliable mobile features that real customers use daily.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and ship native Android features for onboarding, accounts, cards, payments, transfers, rewards and AI‑assisted journeys.
• Transform complex financial processes into simple, fast, and reliable mobile experiences.
• Collaborate with product, design, backend and AI engineers to move features from concept to production.
• Own app quality, including performance, crash rate, loading states, edge‑case handling and release stability.
• Leverage production feedback, analytics and user behaviour to iterate and improve features post‑launch.
• Integrate APIs, authentication mechanisms, secure data handling and financial workflows with a focus on reliability.

Required profile

• Strong native Android experience using Kotlin and a track record of shipping Android apps used by real users.
• Deep understanding of Android architecture, Jetpack components, Coroutines and Flow.
• Product‑oriented mindset with a focus on UX beyond simple screens.
• Ability to debug production issues, optimise performance and maintain high app quality.
• Comfortable working in an ambiguous, fast‑moving startup environment without compromising standards.
