AMO Technician - Electromechanical II

About the role

Baker Hughes, a global energy technology company serving the oil and gas sector in more than 120 countries, is looking for an AMO Technician - Electromechanical II (internal title: ARMO Tech - Electro Mech II). You will troubleshoot, test, assemble and disassemble electro-mechanical assemblies and carry out individual inspections.

Key responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, test, assemble and disassemble electro-mechanical assemblies and inspect them individually.
• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, assembly prints and parts lists, and follow formal procedures and maintenance practices.
• Assist in reworking, repairing and modifying non-conforming equipment.
• Perform complex and difficult tests with minimal instruction and documentation.
• Provide coaching to other technicians in areas of proven competence.
• Lead a team in developing and implementing a midterm plan, and help persuade senior management to change structures, roles and ways of working.

Required profile

• Technical diploma or associate's degree in an electrical or mechanical field, with advanced computer skills.
• 2+ years of maintenance-related experience in an electro-mechanical function, or relevant industrial experience in the airline, military, oilfield, automotive or electronic sectors.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, and the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to identify and communicate technical problems using logical troubleshooting techniques.

Required skills

• Proficiency with multimeters, megohmmeters, hi-pot testers and other basic instruments.
• Versed in fluid power technology, AC/DC circuits and electro-mechanical devices.
• Advanced skills in soldering and assembling electro-mechanical devices.
• Proficiency with measurement and gauging equipment, and with oscilloscopes.
