Allied Health Assistant (Speech Pathology)

About the role

Early Start Australia, based in Armadale, is looking for a friendly, motivated Allied Health Assistant to work alongside its Speech Pathologists. You will help deliver therapy programs and support children to build their communication skills and confidence. The position is listed as casual.

Key responsibilities

• Support children during therapy sessions
• Help run therapy activities developed by the Speech Pathologists
• Prepare resources, games and materials for sessions
• Assist with client appointments and clinic activities
• Build positive relationships with children and families
• Complete basic admin and therapy-related tasks

Required profile

• Enjoys working with children and families
• Organised, reliable and proactive
• Great communication skills and a team player
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
• NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
• Current driver's licence

Bonus points

• Experience working with children
• Experience in disability, education, healthcare or community services
• Interest in speech pathology and communication development
