Allergy and Immunology SMO

About the role

Provide high‑level specialist services in paediatric immunology and allergy for children and adolescents within a tertiary setting, including consultative support to other specialty units.

Key responsibilities

• Contact and liaise with external HHS to explore opportunities and create networks for paediatric allergy clinics.
• Create frameworks, processes and protocols to deliver paediatric allergy clinics in external HHS.
• Lead and maintain cooperative relationships with nursing, medical and allied health staff both within and external to the immunology and allergy service.
• Undertake clinical outreach and provide a consultative service to regional centres, using telemedicine to develop a state‑wide paediatric network model.
• Coordinate continuous clinical audit processes to drive service quality improvement.

Required profile

• Participate as a member of the multidisciplinary team to foster collaboration and service innovation.
• Participate in the Immunology SMO on‑call roster when required.
