Alcohol and Other Drugs Clinician - Locum, Mount Isa

About the role

Talent Quarter is recruiting experienced Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) clinicians with a background in Queensland Health, AODS and CIMHA to join a regional healthcare service in Mount Isa, Queensland. The role is a locum contract of flexible length and dates, with accommodation provided. It suits someone wanting to gain experience in regional healthcare while supporting clients with complex substance use and mental health challenges.

The schedule is consistent, Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, focused on client-centred care and continuity of support.

Required profile

• Qualified Clinical Nurse (NG6), Psychologist, Social Worker or Occupational Therapist (HP3).
• Current AHPRA registration, where applicable to your profession.
• Previous experience working within Queensland Health.
• Experience in Alcohol and Other Drugs Services (AODS).

Required skills

• Familiarity with CIMHA or equivalent clinical assessment and documentation systems.
• Strong communication and assessment skills, able to manage complex client presentations.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
