AI / Emerging Tech Security Analyst (Remote Contract)

About the role

Join Alignerr as an AI / Emerging Tech Security Analyst and help protect cutting‑edge AI models from attacks, misuse, and unintended behavior. This fully remote, flexible contract position lets you work on the front lines of AI safety while managing your own schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze AI and large‑language‑model (LLM) security scenarios to understand model behavior under adversarial conditions.
• Review cases involving prompt injection, data leakage, model abuse, and system misuse.
• Classify vulnerabilities and recommend mitigations based on impact and likelihood.
• Apply threat‑modeling frameworks to emerging AI technologies.
• Evaluate AI system behavior and provide structured feedback for safety and alignment improvements.
• Work independently and asynchronously, delivering results on your own timetable.

Required profile

• Background in cybersecurity, information security, or a related technical field.
• Strong understanding of modern threat modeling, attack surfaces, and adversarial thinking.
• Curiosity about AI system design, deployment, and exploitation.
• Analytical mindset focused on edge cases and failure modes.
• Clear written communication of complex risk assessments.
• Self‑motivated and reliable when working independently.

Required skills

• Penetration testing, red teaming, or vulnerability research.
• Familiarity with LLMs, prompt engineering, and AI safety concepts.
• Application security, API security, or cloud security experience.
• Experience evaluating or auditing AI/ML systems.
• Relevant certifications such as OSCP, CEH, or CISSP.
